ZAGREB, May 26 (Hina) - The Federation of Independent Trade Unions ofCroatia (SSSH) on Thursday sent a letter to Prime Minister Ivo Sanaderurging him to inspect the performance of state officials in charge oflabour and employment,
including Economy, Labour and EntrepreneurshipMinister Branko Vukelic.
ZAGREB, May 26 (Hina) - The Federation of Independent Trade Unions
of Croatia (SSSH) on Thursday sent a letter to Prime Minister Ivo Sanader
urging him to inspect the performance of state officials in charge of labour
and employment, including Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship Minister Branko
Vukelic. The union claims that Vukelic is objectively responsible
for the situation in the Department for Labour and Labour Market, the failure
to fulfil obligations regarding employment, and disregard for obligations
towards social partners and for the request to discuss the amending of work
agreements to make them cover all workers in a branch.
The union also urged inspecting the performance of the state secretary
at the Economy Ministry, Vera Babic, and the head of the Employment Office,
Zrinka Blazevic.
