Talks focused on problems in the application of the law on agricultural land, with representatives of unionists and employers expressing a common position on the application of the land policy in Croatia.
It was said that Croatian agriculture was troubled by a stagnating and decreasing output and an increasing import. The delegation underlined the need to adopt a new concept of agricultural development.
Mesic supported their demands, saying he would ask the government to consider the delegation's proposals.
Also today, the president received a delegation of the town of Vis, which presented him with a charter proclaiming him honorary citizen, in honour of his achievements.
