OKUCANI, May 1 (Hina) - At the end of the ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of the combined military and police operation Flash in Okucani on Sunday, Prime Minister Ivo Sanader formally opened a newly-built square in the centre of the town which will bear the name of the first Croatian president, Franjo Tudjman.

Speaking at the square opening ceremony, Sanader repeated that the operations Flash and Storm, which crushed the Serb rebellion in central Croatia ten years ago, were built into the foundations of the Croatian state.

Sanader said he expected that all parliamentary parties would reach a consensus on Tudjman's role in gaining independence for Croatia, adding that the first Croatian president had no doubt played an enormous role in creating the independent Croatian state.
