"The European Commission's report on Croatia is being completed, and it now looks like the report will be mainly positive," the Zagreb-based daily said, quoting several unnamed diplomatic sources.
The positive report will mean that Brussels gives a go-ahead for the completion of Croatia's European Union accession negotiations by the end of June .
"There is still much work to do, but a positive report will make the situation much easier," an unnamed diplomat was quoted as saying.
On 11 March, the European Commission will publish the report on Croatia's fulfillment of benchmarks for the provisional closing of the negotiating area on Judiciary and Fundamental Rights.
If everything is fine, Croatia's membership talks can be wrapped up at the last intergovernmental accession conference, scheduled for 21 June.
