ZAGREB, March 15 (Hina) - The Zagreb police have identified two hooligans who were in a group of four attackers who beat three Serbian reporters in Zagreb on Sunday and seriously wounded one of them.

"We have identified two attackers at age of 20 and 21 who are suspected of having been involved in the attack, and we are searching for them after we did no find them at their addresses," the police spokeswoman Gordana Vulama told Hina on Tuesday.

The reporter Goran Tadic, and his two colleagues from Banat Television from Serbia were attacked at about 16:00 hrs Sunday, at a crossroads in the centre of Zagreb, when local hooligans stopped their car with Serbian plates. Tadic sustained serious injuries, having his jawbone broken, and two were lightly hurt when the attackers kicked and punched them and beat them with baseball bats.

Tadic later told the Croatian media that his cheekbone was broken. He underwent surgery in a Zagreb hospital on Sunday, and was released from hospital on Monday.

Immediately after the incident, police arrested two 22-year-old men on suspicion of having attacked the reporters who came to Zagreb to cover a basketball match. However, the two lightly injured reporters did not recognise them in a police station, and the two young men were released.

The spokeswoman said that the police had arrested several hooligans on suspicion of involvement in Sunday's riots before, during and after a handball match between Zagreb and Partisan Belgrade.

Most of the arrested young men are fans of the Dinamo Zagreb football club known as the Bad Blue Boys.
