ZAGREB, Nov 25 (Hina) - Prime Minister Ivo Sanader said on Saturday evening that his Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party had a stable majority in Parliament and that there was no danger of the proposed 2007 budget not being adopted.

Sanader made the statement after the signing of an agreement between the government and three teachers' trade unions. He was asked by reporters to comment on the statements by Croatian Party of Rights (HSP) leader Anto Djapic that the HSP would not support next year's budget in Parliament and that he had reached agreement with the prime minister on the release of independent MP Branimir Glavas from custody.

Sanader pointed out that the HDZ had enough deputies to vote in favour of the budget and all other bills proposed by the party.

The prime minister resolutely rejected Djapic's statement carried by a daily newspaper on Saturday that the two had reached agreement that Glavas should be released from custody until the court decides whether or not he should be indicted for war crimes.
