ZAGREB, Nov 9 (Hina) - The Croatian National Bank (HNB) intervened on the domestic foreign exchange market on Thursday, purchasing 217.4 million euros from banks at an average exchange rate of 7.332679 kuna per euro, whereby it placed
1.59 billion kuna on the market.
ZAGREB, Nov 9 (Hina) - The Croatian National Bank (HNB) intervened
on the domestic foreign exchange market on Thursday, purchasing 217.4 million
euros from banks at an average exchange rate of 7.332679 kuna per euro, whereby
it placed 1.59 billion kuna on the market. This was the central
bank's eleventh and largest intervention on the foreign exchange market this
year.
The medium euro exchange rate on Thursday was 7.331639 kuna, a decline
of 0.10 per cent compared to Wednesday's exchange rate. The Swiss frank also
lost in value, falling 0.12 per cent to 4.596639 kuna.
On the other hand, the US dollar rose 0.02 per cent to 5.739052 kuna,
while the British pound increased 0.002 per cent to 10.944378 kuna.
