ZAGREB/BUCHAREST, Oct 13 (Hina) - Croatian People's Party (HNS) leader Vesna Pusic has been elected vice-president of the European Liberal Democrat and Reform (ELDR) party, whose parliamentary group (ALDE) is the third largest group
in the European Parliament, the HNS said in a statement on Friday.
ZAGREB/BUCHAREST, Oct 13 (Hina) - Croatian People's Party (HNS)
leader Vesna Pusic has been elected vice-president of the European Liberal
Democrat and Reform (ELDR) party, whose parliamentary group (ALDE) is the third
largest group in the European Parliament, the HNS said in a statement on
Friday. Pusic was elected ELDR vice-president at a party congress
held in Bucharest on 12-13 October. The congress, the biggest so far, elected
three vice-presidents (of the total of seven) who are members of the ELDR
executive body, the Bureau, and Pusic was elected with the largest number of
votes.
The ELDR gathers 49 European Liberal parties and the HNS has been its
member since 2001.
