Kosor thanked the ambassador on Japan's humanitarian assistance to Croatia during the war, the statement said.
She also expressed satisfaction with the two countries' cooperation in science, technology and sports and bilateral relations, which she said had no outstanding issues. Kosor said she hoped the two countries would advance economic cooperation. She also thanked Ambassador Shirakawa on Japan's assistance in introducing Japanese studies at the Zagreb Faculty of Philosophy.
According to the statement, Ambassador Shirakawa said he would personally advocate the strengthening of the two countries' economic cooperation.
