ZAGREB, Aug 30 (Hina) - The TUI tour operator group on Wednesday attributed its environmental protection award to the International Scientific Council for Island Development (INSULA) for its pioneer work in the area of the sustainable
development of islands, particularly islands as tourist destinations.

attributed its environmental protection award to the International Scientific
Council for Island Development (INSULA) for its pioneer work in the area of the
sustainable development of islands, particularly islands as tourist
destinations. The award includes a reward of 10,000 euros.
TUI has been awarding its environmental protection award since 1991 to
organisations or prominent regional initiatives for their contribution to the
development and protection of the environment in tourist destinations.
INSULA is an international, non-profit NGO established in 1989 with the
seat in the UNESCO headquarters in Paris.
