An article on the ruling Croatian Democratic Union' (HDZ) consultations with possible candidates who could replace Kosor was published on Wednesday by the Vecernji List daily which claims that ten days ago it seemed very likely that Kosor would step down owing to problems surrounding the enrolment of children of war veterans in universities and a boom in the number of registered disabled war veterans.
The public relations office of the Ivo Sanader Cabinet said that all allegations in the article were incorrect and groundless. The Government dismiss them as incorrect, groundless and tendentious, it said.
