Foreign direct investments in Croatia in the period between 1993 through the end of March 2006 amounted to over 11.6 billion euros, the central bank said.
A total 45.4 percent of foreign direct investments in the first three months of this year came from Austria, while in the period between 1993 and March 2006 Austria's investments in Croatia were 28.7 percent of the total amount,
A total of 15.4 percent of foreign direct investments in the first three months of this year came from the Netherlands, followed by Slovenia (9.5 percent), Italy (8.6 percent) and Switzerland 7.1 percent).
In this year's first three moths most of the investments went to the banking sector, namely 28 percent.
Most of the foreign direct investments to Croatia in the said period came from Austria, followed by Germany and the United States.
