ZAGREB, June 30 (Hina) - The Croatian National Bank on Friday
intervened on the foreign currencies market buying 175.33 million euros at the
average buying rate of 7.248379 kuna per euro, the central bank reported. The central bank has already intervened on the foreign currencies market
several times this year, with an aim to curb further appreciation of the kuna
against the euro.
The latest appreciation of the kuna is a result of large transactions
with stocks of the Croatian pharmaceutical company Pliva.
