"Ratko Mladic is in critical condition and his chances of survival are very slim," the anonymous source said, adding that funeral arrangements were already under way.
According to the paper, Mladic suffered his first stroke at the age of 53, at the end of the war, and his second stroke four years later, in 1999.
In the last few years the runaway general changed his location every two weeks, and since recently he has been changing it every several days.
The tabloid claims that Mladic is protected by some 800 best trained people who are loyal to him, while his personal team of bodyguards numbers some 15 people.
A few days ago, the spokesman for the Democratic Party of Serbia, Andrija Mladenovic, wondered who would be responsible for demands that Serbia was being served with if it proved that Mladic was dead. In a statement to Kurir, Mladenovic denied having made this statement because he or anyone else from the party knew Mladic's whereabouts, adding only that this was a political presumption and a strange coincidence.
