He was addressing a European conference of parliament presidents from Council of Europe member countries.
Seks said that deputies of national parliaments, as directly elected representatives of the people, had the opportunity and possibility to significantly advance relations between the people and the state, notably those divided by outstanding and unsolved issues.
"The Croatian Sabor is determined to contribute to that and show that parliamentary diplomacy can be a genuine bridge for conveying experiences on the positive effects of democratic development, but also one of the initiators of the building of institutions of a stable democratic political system," Seks said in his talk.
