PODGORICA, May 23 (Hina) - At the referendum held on Sunday, 55.50 per cent of citizens voted for an independent and sovereign Montenegro, while 44.50 per cent voted for the survival of the state union with Serbia, according to
preliminary results released by the Referendum Commission on Tuesday shortly before the expiry of the legal deadline.
