Cacic described this as burning issues and criticised the Croatian government for not having a strategy on the matter.
He told reporters that "currently, ad hoc decisions are being made causing damage for decades to come".
The HNS parliamentarian also accused the Ivo Sanader Cabinet of having taken a loan from banks so as to cover overdue payments to pensioners and that the guarantees for the repayment of the loan were planned proceeds from privatisation of the HT and Ina, companies which he described as being of strategic importance for Croatia's future.
On the other hand, the government is refusing to sell its 18-percent stock in the pharmaceutical company Pliva which Cacic said lost its strategic importance when it decided to shift to the production of generic medicines.
HNS leader Vesna Pusic added that Croatia was facing political disorientation in international relations, too.
The HNS officials expressed satisfaction with results of the party at recent early elections in some units of local authority.
