At a meeting of working groups for the return of displaced persons, Petersen said that while Kosovo was working on the return of displaced people, Belgrade was doing the opposite. He called on the Serbian authorities to show their intention to get involved in the interest of Serbs in Kosovo.
The UN official praised the attitude of the Kosovo government toward the solving of the problem of displaced persons and all property issues.
Kosovo prime minister Agim Qeku said at the meeting that the time of ethnic divisions was over and that the priority of all institutions in Kosovo was the return of displaced people and free access to their property.
Qeku called on all Kosovo citizens to contribute to the peace and tolerance among peoples and to finally put an end to ethnic divisions.
