ZAGREB, March 30 (Hina) - The Croatian Ministry of the Interior and theCroatian Bank Association (HUB) on Thursday agreed to set up a taskforce to deal with outstanding issues regarding the application ofamendments to the law on
minimum measures of protection in businesstransactions involving cash, which envisage stricter measures ofprotection for financial institutions.
ZAGREB, March 30 (Hina) - The Croatian Ministry of the Interior
and the Croatian Bank Association (HUB) on Thursday agreed to set up a task
force to deal with outstanding issues regarding the application of amendments
to the law on minimum measures of protection in business transactions involving
cash, which envisage stricter measures of protection for financial
institutions. The task force will deal with ambiguities in the
proposed measures, deadlines and jurisdiction.
Forty-two banks were robbed in Croatia last year. Nine banks were
robbed in Split-Dalmatia County, which is followed by Zagreb with eight bank
robberies, and Primorje-Gorski Kotar and Istria counties with five robberies
each.
