Mediation is a process provided by a neutral third party to assist two or more parties in resolving their dispute.
If the project produces good results in the next six months, it will be implemented in other courts in the country.
Initially 12 judges of the Commercial Court will be engaged in the project as mediators.
About 50 mediators - university professors, lawyers, jurists, architects or goldsmiths - are later to mediate in attempts to settle lawsuits out of court. Those persons have been trained by British experts for this job.
The procedure for reaching an out-of-court settlement cannot last longer than 60 days. Parties to a mediation meet voluntarily with the mediator to resolve their dispute on their own terms, rather than a judge or arbitrator making a decision after hearing evidence.
