Days of Francophony to be held this month

ZAGREB, March 13 (Hina) - The Days of Francophony in Croatia, an event promoting the French language, will be held in Croatia between 15 and 29 March.

The programme includes theatre plays, concerts, poetry evenings, photo exhibitions and the screening of films and TV broadcasts as well as the promotion of books and a competition in the knowledge of the French language.

The programme was presented in Zagreb today by the ambassadors of France, Switzerland, Romania, Belgium and Canada and a Croatian Assistant Foreign Minister.

In 2004, Croatia became an observer in the International Organisation for Francophony which gathers 63 countries.
