Even before its official inauguration, the fund received USD243 million.
Britain was the largest contributor with USD 70 million. The other donors were Sweden (41 million dollars), Norway (30 million), the Netherlands, Ireland, Denmark, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Finland, France, Greece, Estonia, Sri Lanka, Liechtenstein, Grenada, Armenia, Mexico, Egypt, South Korea and Pakistan as well as Croatia which ensured 5,000 US dollars for this purpose.
