Negotiator Boris Vujcic said the Croatian and European Union sides identified areas which would have to be amended. This refers to the adoption of a law on the introduction of the euro, legislation regulating the independence of the Croatian National Bank, and the elimination of the possibility of privileged financing of the state on financial markets.
Vujcic said the euro law would go into force on the day Croatia entered the eurozone.
Also today, explanatory screening began for the chapter on food safety, veterinary medicine and the phytosanitary policy. It will be completed on March 15.
