The cafe owner, Bastri Malaj, was quoted by the local press as saying that all his guests welcomed with applause Fajon's speech in the European Parliament while they were watching her on TV when the Parliament was deciding on the liberalisation of the visa regime for Albanians.
He said they had been delighted at the speech of that young MEP, a member of Slovenian Prime Minister Borut Pahor's Social Democrats.
Therefore the owner renamed his cafe after Fajon.
"As soon as she visits Tirana, she will be welcome in my cafe," Malaj said.
Fajon reported on her web site the story about this cafe.
The EU lifted visa requirements for holders of Albanian and Bosnian passports at midnight on 15 December.
