Zahnd said the ICRC planned to close its Croatian office by the end of March given that most of its work was completed. He expressed satisfaction with the cooperation with the Croatian Red Cross and government.
Zahnd said the only current issue were detained and missing persons, adding that before closing the Croatian office the ICRC would make a precedent and deliver to the government its lists of detained and missing persons from Croatia and agree that the Croatian Red Cross be put in charge of tracing.
Zahnd expressed satisfaction with the relaunching of negotiations between the commissions for the missing and detained of Croatia and Serbia-Montenegro.
Kosor thanked the ICRC representatives for helping the Croatian people during the 1991-1995 Homeland War.
