After a meeting of ministries in the Interior Ministry dedicated to domestic violence prevention in Zagreb on Friday, Kosor said the participants in the meeting had concluded that strategies and legislation pertaining to this topic were good but that institutions must be better linked and co-ordinated to prevent and fight this crime.
Prevention must be more widely promoted in the educational system.
It was also concluded that stricter sanctions should be applied against perpetrators of family violence.
