Glavas to remain in Osijek hospital

ZAGREB, July 23 (Hina) - War crimes indictee Branimir Glavas will not be transferred to the Bizovac spa for rehabilitation, as some media have reported, but will remain in the neurology ward of the clinical hospital in Osijek, the Justice Ministry said on Monday.
ZAGREB, July 23 (Hina) - War crimes indictee Branimir Glavas will not be transferred to the Bizovac spa for rehabilitation, as some media have reported, but will remain in the neurology ward of the clinical hospital in Osijek, the Justice Ministry said on Monday.

The ministry said that Glavas's current health problems were being treated satisfactorily in the Osijek hospital and that his treatment would continue in that institution.

Glavas has been in the Osijek hospital since late May after his health deteriorated as a result of several hunger strikes.

Glavas has been indicted for war crimes committed against Serb civilians in Osijek in 1991.
