"White Stick Day" was designed by Hrvoje Sercar and was awarded with a plaque of the Olympic Academy from Vicenza. The stamp depicts a sight-impaired person with a white stick against a white background and the inscription "White Stick Day" in Braille.
This was the third time that a Croatian stamp received an award in Asiago after 2001 and 2006.
Croatian postage stamps have been in use since 1850 and since 1991, when Croatia became independent, Croatian Post has issued 638 regular and commemorative stamps.
