Third helicopter crash victim dies, says defence ministry

ZAGREB, July 10 (Hina) - Sergeant I Class Ljubica Perisic, 41, (not Peris, as incorrectly reported by the hospital in Osijek), died around 1 am on Tuesday from grave injuries sustained in a helicopter crash in the eastern town of Vukovar on Monday, the Croatian Defence Ministry said on its website.
ZAGREB, July 10 (Hina) - Sergeant I Class Ljubica Perisic, 41, (not Peris, as incorrectly reported by the hospital in Osijek), died around 1 am on Tuesday from grave injuries sustained in a helicopter crash in the eastern town of Vukovar on Monday, the Croatian Defence Ministry said on its website.

She was the third casualty of the crash. Both Master Sergeant Juraj Ruskac, 35, and Sergeant Vjekoslav Ljubo, 36, died yesterday.

The MI-8 military transport helicopter crashed near an army barracks outside Vukovar shortly after taking off from base. Ten people were taken to the Vukovar General Hospital, eight of whom sustained severe injuries, hospital staff reported.
