The meeting brought together representatives of the rail operators that will set up the Cargo 10 alliance for the purpose of providing faster freight transport services along the pan-European transport corridor 10.
The Croatian, Serbian and Slovenian national railway operators signed a protocol on the establishment of that joint company in Belgrade on 9 September.
A Macedonian representative, who attended today's meeting in Zagreb, expressed his country's readiness to join the project.
An agreement on Macedonia's participation is likely to be signed before the regional railway alliance launches its service in early October.
