ZAGREB, May 11 (Hina) - Slovene Prime Minister Janez Jansa has said that it is possible to convene a new joint session of the Slovene and Croatian governments provided that some progress is made in the process of solving outstanding issues in the relations between the two countries.

"We shall see, as Croatia will soon have (parliamentary) elections," Jansa told reporters on margins of the SEECP summit, who asked him about possibilities for holding another joint government session after the two governments held their first joint session on the Croatian island of Brijuni in June 2005.

Jansa said that cooperation with southeastern Europe would be one of priorities of Slovenia's presidency over the European Union in 2008.

Commenting on the latest developments in Serbia, Jansa said that "the situation should not be underestimated nor should one take seriously what has been said over the recent days".

The EU is interested in Serbia's future but the Union cannot carry out necessary internal reforms instead of that country, Jansa said.
