In his speech "Globalisation in the Service of Peace in the Middle East", the Nobel prize winner for peace spoke about globalisation and Israel's experience in the creation of a modern state.
His message to the students was to believe in themselves, saying that if Israel, a little bigger than Croatia, could have made such headway, then Croatian citizens must believe in themselves and in youth, giving them the right to decide and find a job.
Peres visited Split at the invitation of Science, Education and Sports Minister Dragan Primorac, who said the messages Peres had given during his visit gave hope and faith in a better future for Croatia.
In Zagreb yesterday, the Israeli official met President Stjepan Mesic, Prime Minister Ivo Sanader and Mayor Milan Bandic.
