PODGORICA, April 20 (Hina) - Montenegrin Prime Minister Zeljko
Sturanovic on Friday received representatives of the Croat Civic Initiative
(HGI), the only Croat political party in Montenegro, who briefed him about the
party's activities and the position of the Croat community in Montenegro, the
government said in a statement. Sturanovic said the HGI had
confirmed through its activity that it was a constructive factor of social and
political processes in Montenegro.
He said the Montenegrin government attached particular attention to the
interests of minority communities and pointed to the importance of gathering
all political forces and joint work so that Montenegro could join the European
Union as soon as possible.
The HGI delegation led by president Marija Vucinovic fully supported
the government's bid to step up its European integration process.
