ZAGREB, April 6 (Hina) - Charges of domestic violence against
Croatia Osiguranje insurance company CEO Hrvoje Vojkovic, reported for
threatening his former wife, have been dropped, the Zagreb County Prosecutor's
Office said in a statement on Friday. Citing only Vojkovic's
initials, the prosecutor's office said that an investigation did not prove that
Vojkovic had committed the acts he was charged with.
At the end of 2006, the senior official of the Liberal Party (HSLS) was
charged with threatening and acting violently towards his wife, whom he was
divorcing at the time.
Vojkovic linked the allegations of abuse to their divorce, saying that
his wife had launched the entire affair in order to get as much of their joint
property as possible.
