The delegation held talks with Kuwait's most senior officials, Emir Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and the temporary prime minister and minister of defence and internal affairs, Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Defence Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
Minister Roncevic handed Kuwait's emir a letter from President Stjepan Mesic inviting him to visit Croatia.
The Croatian delegation and the Kuwaiti defence minister discussed cooperation, Croatia's progress in the reform of its defence system, exchanges of experience, possibilities of military and business cooperation with Croatian companies, and Kuwaiti investments in Croatia.
They discussed the possibility of Croatia upgrading the M-84 tank, with Minister Roncevic conveying his government's guarantees that the Croatian company "Djuro Djakovic", as the original manufacturer of the tank, was capable of modernising the tank in line with the client's demands.
The Kuwaiti officials were also very much interested in other Croatian military equipment presented by the Croatian delegation.
