The signing ceremony, which took place in Zagreb on Friday, was attended by Croatian President Stjepan Mesic, who visited the company and talked to its managers and employees.
Eland Cables managing director Philip Brown expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation with Elka, saying that thanks to its high-quality products the Zagreb company was an excellent business ambassador of Croatia in Britain.
Last year Elka manufactured 20,600 tonnes of cable, generating a profit of 4.8 million kuna (approximately EUR 653,000). The company has 550 employees and exports EUR 40 million of goods annually, or a half of its output.
