BANJA LUKA, Feb 23 (Hina) - Bosnian Serb premier Milorad Dodik said on Friday at a meeting with apostolic nuncio Alessandro D'Errico that he supported ratification of the agreement between Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Holy See on the restitution of church property.

The ratification might resolve the problem of nationalisation and the restitution of the property of the Roman Catholic Church in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Dodik's office said in a statement.

D'Errico thanked Dodik for the support the Bosnian Serb government had allocated to the Catholic community for 2007, and added that he appreciated the efforts being made to improve the status of the Croats in Republika Srpska.

The meeting was also attended by the head of the Bosnian Serb government's department for religions, Jovo Turanjanin, and the Roman Catholic bishop of Banja Luka, Franjo Komarica.

Also on Friday, Dodik met the head of the Islamic community in Bosnia-Herzegovina, reis-ul-ulema Mustafa Ceric, saying that his government supported the reconstruction of the Ferhadija mosque in Banja Luka, which was blown up during the war in May 1993.

Ceric expressed hope that the meeting would produce "inter-religious, inter-ethnic and cultural cooperation, trust and tolerance."
