RIJEKA, Jan 30 (Hina) - A co-ordinating body of trade unions of
workers employed in the shipbuilding industry has written to Croatian Deputy
Prime Minister Damir Polancec, complaining that they have not been engaged in
the preparation of and have not been acquainted with programmes for the
restructuring of this industry branch. The unionists warned on
Tuesday that they had not seen programmes which were being now presented to the
government's task force for shipbuilding modernisation.
They recall that it is beyond any doubt that programmes for
restructuring the shipbuilding industry are also vital for the social position
of employees and trade unions in this sector.
