ZAGREB, Jan 26 (Hina) - Croatia's second operation mentoring and liaison team and infantry platoon departed on Friday for the UN-mandated International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) Mission to Afghanistan to replace the first
contingent of Croatian troops, the Defence Ministry said.

liaison team and infantry platoon departed on Friday for the UN-mandated
International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) Mission to Afghanistan to
replace the first contingent of Croatian troops, the Defence Ministry said. Sixty-nine Croatian soldiers in total left for Afghanistan today.
Croatia has been participating in ISAF since February 2003, initially
as an exclusively military presence, but since January 2005 diplomats and
police have also been engaged in the mission.
