The 12 recipients were selected from several hundred applications sent to the fund.
The scholarships are given to students who finish secondary schools with best marks, are excellent in extra school activities or come from families with lower incomes.
The 12 new recipients will get scholarships during their entire higher education if they continue to meet requirements for this financial assistance.
Currently the Croatian Scholarship Fund is granting scholarships to some 80 students at different universities under the slogan "Creating Leaders Through Education."
