The festival will feature 80 films, most of which, coming from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, follow the central topic of the festival.
The festival will also include round table discussions and lectures, including those by two Chinese dissidents.
The festival's art director, Srecko Horvat, said there was a possibility that some of the lectures would be held at Zagreb's Faculty of the Humanities and Social Sciences since the festival's organisers supported the ongoing protests of students who demand free education.
