The two officials described Croatia-Turkey relations as friendly and on the ascent at all levels, including political, economic and military levels.
Matkovic thanked Korutuerk for Turkey's support to Croatia's efforts to join NATO. Zagreb was admitted to the alliance on 1 April this year.
They also exchanged information about their countries' European Union accession negotiations, and about the promotion of bilateral economic cooperation.
Matkovic, who headed a Croatian delegation at a ministerial summit of the Turkish Federation of Businessmen and Industrialists (TUSKON) in Istanbul on Monday, today also met the Turkish chief negotiator with the EU, Egemen Bagis.
