The winner was Ariane Friedrich of Germany with 2.06 metres, and Marina Aitova of Kazakhstan finished third.
Vlasic cleared all heights in her first attempts until 2.06.
After she failed to jump 2.06 in her first attempt, and Friedrich managed, Vlasic decided to threaten 2.09, the world record set by Stefka Kostadinova of Bulgaria at the 1987 World Championships in Athletics in Rome.
Vlasic failed in the remaining two attempts, and Friedrich won the first meeting of AF Golden League in Berlin.
Thus, Vlasic also missed a chance to win a USD 1 million jackpot in this year's AF Golden League. To get the jackpot it is necessary to score victories in the same event at series of athletics meetings organised by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) throughout one season.
