ZAGREB, June 16 (Hina) - Negotiations which farmers and government officials held on wheat price in Zagreb on Tuesday ended inconclusively with the two sides agreeing that they would resume the talks in a few days, a farmer leader, Antun Laslo, said on Tuesday afternoon.

Crop farmers insist on the minimum purchase price of HRK 1.25 per kilo of wheat and of HRK 2.50 per kilo of oil rape threatening to stage new protests and road and border crossing blockades if their demands are not met,

Today's negotiations were held behind closed doors and attending were deputy prime ministers Jadranka Kosor and Damir Polancec as well as the ministers of finance, agriculture and regional development, Ivan Suker, Bozidar Pankretic and Petar Cobankovic respectively.

Last Thursday dairy farmers and the government reached a deal on minimum milk price and farmers' loans rescheduling after disgruntled farmers staged protests in Zagreb.

Later on Tuesday, the ministry of agriculture, fisheries and rural development stated that the talks on wheat price would resume next Tuesday (23 June).

The ministry said that the talks on a pace for the payment of 15-percent difference in grants would also resume.
