WASHINGTON, March 11 (Hina) - The US Department of State on Thursday
released its annual report on human rights practices in countries,
underlining that in 2009 human rights were seriously violated in some
30 countries worldwide such as Afghanistan, Iraq, Mianmar, DR Congo
and Nigeria due to armed conflicts as well as in North Korea, Iran,
Pakistan, Russia due to the situation in the northern Caucasian
region, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Belarus, China, Colombia, Venezuela, Cuba,
Saudi Arabia, Egypt etc.
