ZAGREB/THE HAGUE, March 1 (Hina) - In his opening statement before the
UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague on Monday, wartime Bosnian Serb
leader Radovan Karadzic said that the trial against him was actually
the trial against Bosnian Serbs who he said wanted the peaceful
resolution of the Yugoslav crisis and who defended themselves from
attempts by Croats and Muslims to set up ethnically pure states.
