BELGRADE, Jan 23 (Hina) - The newly-elected head of the Serbian
Orthodox Church (SPC) , Bishop Irinej Gavrilovic from the central
Serbian town of Nis, was enthroned in Belgrade on Saturday as the 45th
patriarch of the SPC. He succeeded Patriarch Pavle who died in
November 2009.
