ZAGREB, Jan 15 (Hina) - The Croatian Helsinki Committee (HHO) stated in
a press release on Friday that the cause of all problems in the
Croatian national broadcaster (HRT) lay with the relevant legislation
adopted during the coalition government led by Prime Minister Ivica
Racan of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), claiming that this law
"abolished the independence of civil society in the election of the
HRT Council".
