ZAGREB, Sept 16 (Hina) - General Ivan Cermak was cooperative and acted
efficiently, and he generally thought that the human rights of local
Serbs should be respected, a former United Nations high-ranking
official, Yasushi Akashi, told the International Criminal Tribunal for
the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) on Wednesday in the trial of Cermak and
two other Croatian Army generals, Ante Gotovina and Mladen Markac.
