This year's almanac focuses on the most dynamic Croatian migrant community within the EU - those living across Germany.
Croats in Germany represent a vast human capital for Croatia, which is developing increasingly attractive immigration policies. The successful integration of returnees from various parts of the world, who were educated in multicultural environments, is largely facilitated by their strong knowledge of the Croatian language and culture, the HMI emphasised.
HMI Director Mijo Marić highlighted that the almanac serves as a chronicle of Croatian emigration and the formation of the Croatian state, emphasising the strong connection between the diaspora and the Croatian state.
The almanac includes summaries of its texts in English and Spanish and consists of 25 authored contributions that explore the postmodern creativity of the Croatian diaspora.
